Lewis and Valgardson named Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Feb. 13, 2024 - Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Rhett and Gracee on their selections!

Rhett Lewis (first year, General Arts and Science, Cardston) had an impressive weekend for the Kodiaks with their games up North. Men’s basketball head coach Ryan Heggie says, “He’s the ultimate team guy! He never misses an opportunity to lift his coaches and teammates”. Rhetts work on offensive and defensive boards helped changed the game. He led his team in the final quarter against NWP, scoring seven points to keep the game close.

Gracee Valgardson (first year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) led her team in the regional scoring six goals. Valgardson showcased her scoring capabilities throughout the weekend, exhibiting remarkable precision and composure in critical moments. Kodiaks futsal’s head coach Sean Carey says, “Her exceptional leadership on the field and unwavering dependability make her an invaluable asset to the team”.
