Bio

Annah Schwark was named the Kodiaks Women’s Volleyball head coach in 2016 after assistant coaching with the program from 2014-2016.

Schwark has established a wonderful team culture both on and off the court, valuing who her team is both as athletes and people. “At the end of the day as a coach, I want my athletes to come through this program and leave as kind, confident and empowered women,” says Schwark.

When asked about the most important things when recruiting athletes Schwark shared, “Maturity! I love athletes that are brave enough to put themselves out there and take on navigating the recruiting process themselves. It allows us to get to know them better and build a relationship before the come in September.”

Schwark played two years of NCAA Division II volleyball at Coker College in South Carolina (2011-2013). Schwark, originally from Coaldale AB, returned home and suited up for the Kodiaks for the 2013-2014 season.

Schwark is currently working towards her NCCP Volleyball Level II certification. She also received a Justice Studies Corrections Diploma from Lethbridge College.
