Bio
A champion decathlete in his native Sweden, Bertil attended Brigham Young University in Utah. After spending four years with Calgary Parks and Recreation, he came to Lethbridge to teach fitness and self defence to law enforcement students at Lethbridge College.
Bertil began his coaching career at Lethbridge College in 1987 and lead the Kodiaks women’s team to it’s first ACAC championship in the fall of 1988. In coaching over 32 seasons his student-athletes earned 54 gold medals within the ACAC and CCAA and he led his teams to more than 100 conference and national honours. This history to date, has him as the most successful coach in Kodiaks Athletics history and the most decorated ACAC coach in history.
