Friday through Sunday the Kodiaks will host the Alberta Colleges Athletic Association (ACAC) men's and women's soccer championships presented by Southern Alberta Homes and Grassroots Realty Group.
Kodiaks basketball teams head to Calgary on Friday to play the St. Mary's University Lightning at 6 and 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the Kodiaks cross-country teams travel to Grande Prairie to race in the ACAC Cross-Country Championships hosted by the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves.

WSOC Kodiaks (7-4-1) vs NAIT Ooks (9-2-1)

The Kodiaks women's soccer team will face the No. 2 ranked team in the north, the NAIT Ooks, in the quarterfinals of the championships. They will need to pull off an upset to keep their season alive. The Kodiaks are coming in on a high after a solid weekend where they won 3–1 against the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings. They will be looking to their two leading point scorers, Megan Morrison (fifth year, Bachelor of Nursing, Medicine Hat) and Khloe Jankowiak (third year, Business Administration – Accounting, Lethbridge), to give them a strong offensive start.

The Kodiaks men's soccer team is set to take on the second-ranked northern team, the NAIT Ooks, in the championship quarter-finals. The Kodiaks are ready to rise to the challenge as they look to secure a spot in the next round. Leading the attack are Alex Moroszczuk (second year, Electrician Apprenticeship, Edmonton) and Moe Huska (first year, General Arts and Science - Kinesiology Certificate, Cranbrook, B.C.), the team's top scorers who will be key in generating offensive pressure. On the defensive end, captain Jordan Morello (fourth year, Renewable Resource Management, Nelson, B.C.) on the backline will provide veteran leadership and stability, anchoring the Kodiaks as they aim for a strong all-around performance.

The Kodiaks women's basketball team will look to notch their first win of the season as they take on the St. Mary's University Lightning. After showing promise in their season opener, the Kodiaks will lean on the scoring touch of Bailey Blackmore (second year, Bachelor of Nursing, Magrath) and the veteran leadership of Gaby Power (fourth year, Early Childhood Education, Calgary). Nyomi Heins (second year, Therapeutic Recreation, Diamond City, Alta.) will anchor the defence as the team aims to set the tone early and deliver a strong all-around performance.
MBB Kodiaks (1-0) at STMU Lightning (0-1)

The Kodiaks men's basketball team will look to keep their momentum going as they face the St. Mary's University Lightning in their second game of the season. Coming off a strong 78–62 road win, the Kodiaks will lean on the dynamic play of Marley Kenion (first year, Child and Youth Care, Coventry, England) and Nathaniel Hosannah (first year, Business Administration, Tacoma, Washington) to drive the offence. Sharp-shooting guard Levi Balderson (second year, General Arts and Science, Welling) will look to stay hot from beyond the arc as the Kodiaks aim to build on their early success and continue their winning start.
Cross-Country:
Friday, Oct. 25 | 2025 ACAC Cross-Country Championships (hosted by NWP)
On Saturday, the Kodiaks men's and women's team are competing at the 2025 ACAC Cross-Country Championships in Grande Prairie at (102 Ave & 102 St., Grande Prairie, Alta.). The women's six-kilometre race begins at noon followed by the men's 8K at 1 p.m.
The Kodiaks cross country teams are set to compete among 13 programs at this year's championships, with both the men's and women's squads aiming to secure a spot at nationals. The men's team has been a consistent contender, earning second-place finishes, while the women's team has shown steady progress with consecutive fourth-place results. With the top three teams qualifying for nationals, both Kodiaks groups are focused and ready to make their push toward a podium finish and a national championship berth.
