Balderson and Moes Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Levi Balderson (first year, General Arts and Science, Welling) played a crucial role in the men’s basketball team’s weekend split with SAIT, scoring 8 points in a thrilling road victory on Friday and adding 12 points off the bench in Saturday’s loss. His clutch performance on Friday included a timely corner three-pointer late in the game to seal the victory, Despite the team struggling offensively on Saturday, Balderson remained a consistent offensive threat, contributing 12 points and providing a spark when the Kodiaks needed it most. Over the weekend, he shot 7-19 from the field, grabbed 7 rebounds, and added a steal to his stat line. Coming into the season after recovering from a broken foot, Balderson has steadily worked his way into the lineup and is quickly becoming a key contributor for the Kodiaks. 

Nolan Moes (fifth year, Natural Resource Compliance, Barrhead, Alta.) delivered two standout performances to help the men’s volleyball team secure back-to-back wins over the SAIT Trojans. In Friday's 3-1 victory, Moes was dominant on the attack, recording 18 kills on 36 attempts with a .417 hitting percentage, contributing 23 total points to the win. His serving was also a key factor, with 3 aces. On Saturday, Moes continued his exceptional play, leading the offence with 20 kills, hitting an impressive .655 to score 22 points and help the Kodiaks complete the sweep. His ability to consistently put points on the board, along with his leadership, were pivotal in the Kodiaks' success over the weekend.
