The Kodiaks started off strong and maintained possession throughout most of the match. In the first half, the Kodiaks were able to get off 15 shots and limited the Lions to only one. It wasn’t until the 26thminute that Megan Morrison (fourth year, Bachelor of Nursing, Medicine Hat) was able to find the back of the net. This was followed two minutes later by another goal coming from Morrison. The first half ended with a long goal just past the middle of the field by Khloe Jankowiak (second year, Business Administration – Accounting, Lethbridge) to put the Kodiaks up 3-0.
The second half started with another goal from Morrison. Fourteen minutes later a far boot from goalkeeper Kiara Jankowiak (second year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) ended as an assist to Morrison’s fourth goal of the match. The Kodiaks maintained control only allowing for one shot from the Lions in the second half. Did The match ended with a late goal from Hannah Bradford (first year, General Arts and Science, Abbotsford, B.C.) finishing the game 6-0 for the Kodiaks fifth win of the season.

For the first time in a while, the Kodiaks opened the game with early scoring from Jake Marshall (second year, General Arts and Science, Nelson, B.C.). The Kodiaks were able to maintain control of the play for most of the first half with a few hiccups. Goalkeeper Adam Krisko (first year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) was able to make a huge save from a penalty kick that boosted the Kodiaks energy. In the last minute of the first half, the Lions were able to tie the score at one.
The Kodiaks came back on the field with some fire that resulted in another early goal by Marshall. The Kodiaks continued that momentum and scored another from a free kick taken by Vincent Dyck (fourth year, Open Studies, Lethbridge). The scoring didn’t stop there for the Kodiaks as fifth-year player Wilson Ntignee (fifth year, Business Administration, Bori, Nigeria) score two more to wrap up the game as a 5-1 win for the Kodiaks.

This marked the final home game of the season for the men’s soccer team. They honoured Keegan Bolton (fifth year, Criminal Justice – Policing, Sherwood Park, Alta.) as a senior. He was given an honorary jersey and a framed photo.
