Weekend Preview: Kodiaks basketball teams are in for a northern road trip
The Kodiaks basketball teams are back in action after a bye week.
The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks basketball teams are back in action after a bye week as they travel north to take on the Keyano College Huskies and the Lakeland College Rustlers.

Women’s Basketball:
Kodiaks (4-2) vs Keyano College Huskies (4-2)

Kodiaks (4-2) vs Lakeland College Rustlers (6-0)
- 6 p.m. | Saturday, Nov. 23 | Lakeland College
The Kodiaks women’s basketball team has a competitive weekend ahead, as they face some tough northern opponents including last year’s conference and national champions Lakeland College. After having a week off, the Kodiaks are rested and back to full strength as Annah Westrop (fourth year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) is back on the court. She’s grown into a leadership role, both mentally and physically, and she is second on her team for rebounds per game and fifth for points per game.
Men’s volleyball:

The Kodiaks men’s basketball team also has a tough lineup as their first game of the weekend is against the defending Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference and Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association, Keyano College. Treydon Barton (third year, General Arts and Science, Raymond) has stepped up for the Kodiaks, averaging 15 points per game, and he’s second on the team for average minutes played. On the defensive side, Cody Tollestrup (second year, General Arts and Science, Magrath) is leading the team in rebounds and is second for blocks per game.
