Weekend Preview: Kodiaks soccer in full swing at home
The Kodiaks soccer teams are back at home, playing host to the Ambrose University Lions Sunday afternoon at the Servus Soccer Centre Outdoor Field.

Kodiaks (4-3) vs Ambrose University Lions (2-3-1)
Sunday, Oct. 6 | 2 p.m.
The Kodiaks women’s soccer team is looking to extend a two-game winning streak against the Ambrose University Lions as they need to hold off Ambrose in the standings for a playoff spot. The Kodiaks need Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Player of the Week Sophie DeMarsh (first year, General Arts and Science – Psychology and Sociology major, Calgary) to have another stellar game as she now leads the team in points with five goals and three assists.
Men’s soccer
Kodiaks (3-2-1) vs Ambrose University Lions (1-3-1)
Sunday, Oct. 6 | 4 p.m.
The Kodiaks men’s soccer team is looking for a win against the Lions as this will be their last home match of the season. The team will need a strong effort from everyone to stay on track for a playoff position. Going into the weekend, the Kodiaks are hoping to limit goals against in the first half. The team will look offensively to veteran student-athletes Charlie Block (third year, Open Studies, Lethbridge) and Wilson Ntignee (fifth year, Business Administration, Bori, Nigeria) to help get a few points on the board.
