Sunday afternoon, both Kodiaks soccer teams will play Highway 3 rivals, the Medicine Hat College Rattlers.
Cross-country
Saturday, Sept. 28 ACAC Running Room Grand Prix #4 | hosted by STMU
The Kodiaks cross-country teams will get their first look and feel of the championship course at St. Mary’s University. Last weekend the Kodiaks hosted the third Grand Prix event where both teams placed second.
The women’s team has improved its placement at each ACAC event. Last weekend they were just a few points from first place. The women will need another good run from Kodiaks student-athlete of the week Annah Westrop (fourth year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge), who placed seventh overall in her first ACAC event.
The men’s team is hoping to overcome some injuries and illnesses as they’ve yet to have their full team compete in a race. Ethan Grasmeyer (second year, Natural Resource Compliance, Smithers, B.C.) led the team last weekend with a time of 31:30. The Kodiaks will need a full effort from everyone to take over the No. 1 spot.
