On Saturday, Kodiaks fans along with students, alumni and friends of the polytechnic, can jump back and forth between Coulee Fest on campus and the Servus Soccer Centre Outdoor Field as the men’s and women’s teams take on the Olds College Broncos.
Competition continues Sunday when the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings and Queens come to town.

The Kodiaks women’s soccer team is looking to bounce back after a tough loss against the defending conference champions on opening weekend. The Kodiaks, Broncos and Queens are all tied in the standings as all three teams split their first games of the season.
Kyra Piekema (second year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) has had a strong start to the season, scoring the only Kodiaks goal in the home opener and being honoured as the Player of the Game. She is a huge part of the Kodiaks’ offence, and the team will be looking to her for leadership in the matches this weekend.

The Kodiaks men’s soccer team started the season with two big wins that secured them fourth place on the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association rankings. This weekend, they will be looking to keep the winning streak going.
Vincent Dyck (fourth year, Open Studies, Lethbridge) has proven himself to be a play-maker for the team. He has been a dynamic part of the Kodiaks’ offence, recording two assists in the 5-0 win over Ambrose University last weekend.
