Jan. 31, 2024 - The Lethbridge College Kodiaks men’s soccer team continues to grow its roster with new Lethbridge Football Club (LFC) recruit Tyler Munnings becoming the latest to commit to LC.
Munnings, a skilled left fullback, attends Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge. Beyond playing, he actively contributes to his club by coaching young athletes.
Munnings grew up in the Kodiaks environment, coming out to watch home games. Through his recruiting process, he’s been invited to scrimmages and practices with the team to get him familiar with the Kodiaks coaching style, teammates and culture.
“I bring a big drive for the game and it's all about working until you physically can't anymore to give it everything you have,” says Munnings. “When it comes to the technical side, I'm confident in my ball control skills.”
One of the things that stood out to Kodiaks soccer head coach Sean Carey was Munning’s energy. “He's one of those guys that when you put him out there, he just goes and goes and goes.”
Munnings will be enrolling in the Business Administration Diploma – Management at the college in the fall with the goal of getting into real estate.
“We got ahead of the game here and got him signed,” says Carey. “I know he's going to be a big piece to our team.”
Munnings gives a shoutout to LFC Technical Director and coach Sam Heap for getting him where he is today.
