The Lethbridge College Kodiaks men’s soccer team kicks off the new year with a significant signing, goalkeeper Adam Krisko.
Krisko currently attends Lethbridge’s Catholic Central High School and is a prominent member of the Lethbridge Football Club (LFC). Beyond his skills on the field, he dedicates himself to coaching youth LFC programs and house leagues with the Lethbridge Soccer Association. Recognized for his leadership qualities, Krisko brings a vocal presence and unwavering support for his teammates.
He’s been invited out to multiple practices with the team and felt like the players, coaches, and culture is the right fit for him. Choosing to remain in the local scene, he has the consistent support to pursue his athletic and academic aspirations.
“Shawn is an excellent coach that runs an excellent program,” says Krisko “It was quick to feel welcomed into the program. That encouraged me to think yeah, it's where I want to play, there's a home here.”
Kodiaks soccer’s head coach Sean Carey believes that Krisko is a great sign and addition into the men’s program that finished their regular season with record of 4-4-2.
“Adam’s going to be a big player for his next year,” says Carey. “We're hoping he can have a good summer, and then coming ready and really push for that number one keeper spot, because he definitely has the talent to do it.”
Krisko extends gratitude to his previous coaches, acknowledging their guidance and opportunities that kept him on the right path. He also appreciates the unwavering support from his parents, who tirelessly drove him to games and practices.
