Pilling and Morello named Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Hannah and Jordan on their selections!

Hannah Pilling (first year, Academic Upgrading, Cardston) of the Kodiaks women’s cross-country team excelled in her first post-secondary race as a Kodiak. Competing in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Running Room Grand Prix #1 she was the first Kodiaks to cross the 6-kilometer finish line with a time of 26:42 placing fourth overall. Pilling led her team to a third-place finish with 64 points.

Jordan Morello (third year, Natural Resource Compliance, Nelson, B.C.) of the Kodiaks men’s soccer team started the season off with a bang. In their game against the Ambrose University Lions, he was named as the ACAC player of the game for making multiple interceptions and winning every battle he came up against on the ball. The following day his aggressiveness on defence helped the Kodiaks secure a 2-1 victory over the SAIT Trojans for the first time since 2019. The Kodiaks men’s soccer team is now 2-0 to start the regular season.
