Bio

Alvin Tietz is a name that has been around Southern Alberta soccer since 1958. Tietz began coaching in 1985 at Lethbridge Community College and continued for 11 years, eight years as the men's coach, then a years hiatus. He returned to coach the women's team for three years. In the inaugural year of the women's team, he guided them to a National Championship which is currently the only one in the program's history. A team that he helped establish at the college by garnering funds so the team could compete within the ACAC.

Tietz continues to give back to Kodiaks Athletics through attending ACAC games, co-sponsoring a scholarship fund and supporting the Kodiak Athletic Association in their projects.
