Timinski and Men's Indoor Track Named Athletes of the Month

Apr. 5, 2022 - Jayna Timiniski (WFUT) and the Men’s Indoor Track Team have been named March Athletes of the Month, sponsored by Italian Table and Moxies. This group have athletes finished their respective seasons strong, each earning medals at their ACAC Championships.

A newcomer to the Kodiaks this year, Timinski (first year, Multimedia production, Calgary) had a great debut season. As a key asset to the Kodiaks’ success, Timinski was not only a scoring threat but also had the ability to facilitate for her teammates, leading to multiple assists.

Jayna was recognized as an ACAC Championship All-Star at the recent ACAC Futsal Championships in Edmonton where she helped the Kodiaks take home a bronze medal.

Men’s Indoor Track Team

A collection of young athletes take the spotlight as the Kodiaks men’s indoor track team finished off their season on a high note.

Aden Germain, Gunnarr Gibb, Logan Danyluk and Jack Bentley gave amazing performances in the relays, earning silver medals in both the 4x200m and 4x400m events. Aden Germain also added an individual bronze in the men’s 300m dash. These strong performances from these individuals helped the Kodiaks finish third overall in the team standings.
