Westrop and Akinola named Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Annah Westrop (fourth year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) made her debut in the ACAC cross-country circuit this weekend. Westrop finished seventh overall in the ACAC Grand Prix #3 and was the second Kodiak to cross the finish line. Her strong performance helped the team secure a second-place finish, just a few points shy of first.

Tosin Akinola (first year, Business Administration – Accounting, Lagos, Nigeria) of the Kodiaks men’s soccer team made a notable impact over the weekend during their match against the SAIT Polytechnic Trojans. In a crucial moment in the second half, Akinola scored the first goal for the Kodiaks, shifting the momentum of the game and energizing his teammates. His impressive performance earned him the ACAC Player of the Game honour.
