Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Gracee and Nolan on their selections!
Gracee Valgardson (second year, General Arts and Science, Lethbridge) was outstanding in this weekend’s women’s futsal South Regional. Offensively, she scored numerous goals for the Kodiaks, but it was her exceptional defensive play that truly made her stand out. With multiple crucial stops and blocked shots, she played a key role in the team’s solid performance, helping lead the Kodiaks to a 3-1 record. Her competitive spirit and relentless effort on both ends of the court were vital in pushing the team forward. Thanks to her strong contributions, the Kodiaks secured a spot in this year’s ACAC Women’s Futsal Championship, which will be hosted by Lakeland College in two weeks.
Nolan Moes (fifth year, Natural Resource Compliance, Barrhead, Alta.) delivered an exceptional performance at the 2025 ACAC men’s volleyball championship. He earned a spot on the ACAC All-Conference team as an outside hitter, was named player of the game in their opening match, was selected for the All-Tournament team, and played a key role in securing a silver medal. Moes recorded 49 kills in three matches, the most of any player in the championship, and finished second in blocks. Over the past five years, he has been a cornerstone of the Kodiaks men’s volleyball program. His leadership, both on and off the court, will be greatly missed as he wrapped up his ACAC career this past weekend.
