Pilling and DeMarsh named Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Hannah and Sophie on their selections!

Hannah Pilling (first year, Academic Upgrading, Cardston) of the Kodiaks women’s cross-country team competed in the fourth ACAC Grand Prix event. She finished in first place in just her third race with her best time of 25:00. This win makes her the first Kodiaks cross-country student athlete to win an individual women’s race since 2019. Her strong performance also helped lead the team to place first overall finish for the first time this season.

Sophie DeMarsh (first year, General Arts and Science - Pysch/Soc, Calgary) of the Kodiaks women’s soccer team had an outstanding weekend with two wins that boosted the team up in the standings as they work to earn a berth to the ACAC championships. She was named ACAC player of the game in Saturday’s game against UAA where she scored three goals. Her scoring momentum carried over into Sunday’s game against MHC where she put away two goals while also adding two assists.
