Oikawa and Stewart Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Hana and Owen on their selections!  

Hana Oikawa (first year, Environmental Assessment and Restoration, Lethbridge) put on an impressive display at the ACAC Indoor Track Championships. Hana competed in the 300m dash, where she finished just shy of the podium in a solid fourth-place finish. She also excelled in the 60m dash, securing eighth place among a competitive field. Her standout efforts continued in both the 4x200m and 4x400m relays, where she helped her team race to a strong third-place finish in both events.

Owen Stewart (third year, Business Administration – Accounting, Lethbridge) had a show stopping performance at the ACAC Indoor Track Championships this past weekend. He was named indoor tracks ACAC Men’s Runner of the Year and selected as an ACAC All-Conference runner. He competed in the and 600m and 4x400m relay events where he placed first and the 1000m where he placed second. He was the highest scorer for point on the men’s side helping his team to a silver medal finish at the podium.
