Michel and Stewart named Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Katrina Michel (first year, Practical Nurse, Okotoks) was the sole female representative runner for the Kodiaks at Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) cross-country Nationals event in Truro, NS. It was accumulative efforts from throughout the season that led to Michel qualifying to participate in the national championships. She had a personal best time of 25:08 that led her to be in the top half of runners finishing in 40^th place overall.

Owen Stewart (second year, General Studies, Lethbridge) led the Kodiaks men’s team at CCAA cross-country Nationals in Truro, NS. In a race against the best across the country he showed up and performed. He was the first Kodiak to cross the finish line helping his team place tenth place in the country for colleges. Stewart finished the race with a time of 26:28 making it a personal best coming in 22^nd place overall.
