Deemter and Barton Canadian Brewhouse Kodiaks student-athletes of the week

Canadian Brewhouse is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Week. Congrats to Courtney and Treydon on their selections! 

Courtney Deemter (fourth year, Bachelors of Nursing, Calgary) has been a cornerstone of leadership and consistency for the Kodiaks women’s basketball team throughout the season. In the team’s two games this past weekend, she delivered strong individual performances as she led in on court minutes. She also led the game in points in their matchup against the defending CCAA champions, Lakeland College. Her ability to stay composed in pressure situations helped her team maintain a competitive edge throughout both matchups. 

Treydon Barton (third year, General Arts and Science, Raymond) demonstrated his leadership and resilience for the Kodiaks men’s basketball team during their two-game road trip this past weekend. Despite the facing the top two teams in the ACAC North division, both ranked in the top 15 nationally, his composure and leadership helped the Kodiaks stay competitive throughout the weekend. Currently ranked in the top 20 for steals per game in the ACAC, his all-around performance continues to prove his value as a key contributor to the Kodiaks men’s basketball team.
