Stewart and Stahl named Moxies Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Month for October!

Nov. 3, 2023 – Moxies is proud to sponsor the Kodiaks Student-Athletes of the Month. Congrats to Owen and Nikki on their October selections!

Nikki Stahl (fifth year, Unit Clerk, Lethbridge) has had an outstanding month as the captain of her team, guiding them to a historic regular season record of 11-1 for the Kodiaks women's soccer program. She received the prestigious honor of being named to the All-Conference team as a midfielder, voted in by the head coaches in the conference. During the ACAC women's soccer championship, she earned the honour of ACAC Player of the Game in the semifinals and was also selected to the All-Tournament team. In the bronze medal match she scored the only goal for Kodiaks in the post season.

Owen Stewart (second year, General Studies, Lethbridge) has continued to lead the Kodiaks men’s cross-country team by setting a remarkable example. He consistently achieved the highest finishes for the Kodiaks throughout the season. During the ACAC cross-country championships, he recorded his best time of 27:16 minutes, securing seventh place overall and playing a pivotal role in his team's bronze medal win and a qualifying spot for the upcoming CCAA national Championships. His performance earned him a spot on both the ACAC All-Conference and Grand Prix teams, recognizing his exceptional results during championships and throughout the season. Additionally, he is set to compete with his team in the Nationals in Truro, NS next week.
